Fresh Prince of Bel Air as never before

How awesome, download from here: http://www.ilictronix.com/2010/09/uffies-faceplant-and-mustard.html

I grew up watching and loving the Fresh Prince of Bel Air and I can safely say I know all the words to the intro...so the fact I have come across this via Facebook, via my friend has made my day.

Enjoy :D

Little Red Riding Hood alla Laura

I haven't blogged properly for a while so I thought I'd stick this up here. This was a piece of English work I did a couple of months ago in preparation for my English coursework, transforming the fairytale Little Red Riding Hood into an newspaper article for The Sun/popular daily newspaper.

Enjoy :)

MARRIED MUM AND HERO IN SHOCK FLING

Local hero Greg Cutting, the man who saved a young girl and her Nan from a frightening wolf attack has been romantically linked just days later with the girl’s married mum.

SUN EXCULISVE

Just two weeks ago Ruby Red went to see her Nan who lives on Church Street, only when she got there a normal visit turned into a nightmare.

A wolf had broken in and attacked Ruby’s Nan, then it turned on Ruby as she called out for help.

It was the young girl’s screams of fear that first caught Greg’s attention as he was walking to work. Speaking to us just hours after his rescue of Ruby and her Nan he said “Of course I ran to help, you know, what else was I supposed to do? You hear a girl scream, you run, right?”

And now, Greg and Ruby’s married mum Debby have been seen on a number of occasions enjoying romantic dinners and trips to the cinema. This surprising turn of events has shocked Debby’s friends and family as we can exclusively reveal that her ex-husband moved out only a matter of days before the attack.

A source close to Debby has told us “Well, Dave only left a couple of weeks ago, he’s not happy, I mean some guy’s just rolled up, acted the hero and now he’s having it away with the women Dave is still married to...”

Our source then told us that Dave is so angry that not only is he going to demand a divorce, but he is looking file for full custody of Ruby. “I agree with him, if Debby is so keen to get another bloke rather than look after he own daughter, then she isn’t good enough for our Dave or responsible enough to be a proper mum.”
Debby, 26, originally from Leeds has a less than perfect reputation when it comes to staying faithful. Another source has revealed there is a string of “fellas” who can be linked to Debby and that it was only a matter of time before Dave packed up and left.

It seems that Debby was only too happy to show Greg just how thankful she was for his heroic actions. Their first date in the popular restaurant, Nando’s, took place just a day after the frightening event. Over the next few days Greg and Debby were spotted hand in hand in the local park, having a sneaky snog outside a local cinema and cosying up in Starbucks.

Debby’s mum, who was saved by Greg, spoke to us and told us that she was also shocked by her daughter’s actions. “Never has she acted so stupidly, I mean she’s made a few mistakes in the past, what with the affair and everything, but to be so blatant about another affair when Dave only left two weeks ago, well if I’m honest I’m ashamed. Of course, say thank you, but say it with a card not with a date.”

What started out as a simple rescue of a young girl and her Nan has turned into a messy affair, which could lead to a family being ripped apart and a girl losing her mum. Debby’s selfish and hasty actions have produced consequences that will affect her daughter for a long time to come, and leave her with many emotional problems.

“A quick and simple ending would be best for everyone, but I don’t think that will happen somehow.” Concluded Debby’s mum.

It's guy love...

A few months ago hordes of swooning women were sent into screaming frenzies when the news was announced that Robbie Williams was rejoining Take That. Further screams of delight could be heard up and down the country when the reunited five-some revealed they would be releasing an album in November this year (just in time for Christmas maybe?) and be touring in 2011. But that’s not all, Robbie and Gary have only gone and released a single together. :O

Yes, they have put their differences aside and have released a truly ‘bromantic’ single so the world can see how much they love each other. After several views of the video thanks to the music channel permanently on the big screen TV in the brand spanking new cafe at college, I feel qualified to declare they have a full on bromance in progress. The video is full of longing glances, meaningful eye contact, a fishing trip just for two and even some torso related flesh on display. It seems that guy love is all around and there’s no shame in that...see what I did there?

Admittedly it’s not my kind of music; give me a bit of Carl and Pete and their bromance any day, but in a chart full of soulless Euro-pop and a ridiculous Ninja related song it’s nice to see a song genuinely full of emotion and passion for what they do. Long live the guy love.

See the guy love for yourself:
